CSU General Education Requirements

Starting at the home page at Assist.org ...

Select a campus you would like to what what courses transfer as part of the CSU General Education Requirements...

Once you have selected a campus, you can select different transferable courses from CSU in general, CSU General Education Requirements, UC in general, and others below. We will pick, the list that says "CSU GE-Breath Certification Courses".

Once you have clicked on that, you can select by either department or general CSU General Education Requirements section. Let's just  pick "All Areas" to get a general idea.

You will see a list that may look similar to this one....

This page will show a history of all courses that have been approved and removed from this particular list. In the course that is highlighted, you can see of an example of a course that was approved but then removed later on.

***Remember, this website is not intended to take the place of a counselor. So be sure to speak to one at both the campus you will transfer from and to.

Generating a Course List Between Campuses

Go to Assist.org

You will come to a website that looks like the one below...

You can select the campus you plan to transfer from. Let's pick a community college to start with.

Once selected, the website will allow you to pick another campus to transfer to.

Because we selected a community college to start with, it will only allow us to pick a CSU or UC as a campus to transfer to.

You then will have to choose a major. However, you can also see agreements by department as well.

We selected Nursing as an example to illustrate how useful the website can be.

The website will then generate a list of courses that are transferable between the two campuses.

*Note a few important things
1. The agreement between these two campuses has not been listed for the upcoming academic year. Only the one from 2010-2011 is available.
2. This is an impacted program.
3. You must apply for admission to the program, not just the campus.

You can also see that the both campuses go by semesters, the course number and name, as well as the number of units each class is worth.

Remember, this website is not intended to take the place of a counselor. So be sure to speak to one at both the campuses.
